- What is GUFF?
- GUFF is an aggregator for the blogs of students and alumni of Glasgow University.
- How can I submit my blog?
- You can submit your blog using the form on the home page. All fields are required. In particular,
you must have a syndication feed (RSS or Atom), in order to participate in GUFF.
- About the author
- GUFF was written by Derek Murray (see his blog, mrry), a fourth-year student in
the Department of Computing Science at the
University of Glasgow.
- Technical details
- GUFF is coded entirely in PHP, with a MySQL database forming the backend.
MagpieRSS is used to retrieve and parse the aggregated feeds.
FeedCreator is used to generate the RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds.
- Can I download a copy of GUFF?
- This site is a proof-of-concept for GUFF. Once it has been fully tested, documented and made robust, it will be made
available for download from this site, under the GPL.
