What got me thinking of music, in my last post, was my desire to advertise to the world my possession of the British Sea Power album. I was thinking that there's some hope in new music.
After years of only enjoying bands defunct or heading that way; becoming a Ben Folds Five fan six months after they split up; etc; I think I'm witnessing a resurgence in Music-I-Like.
Just this week, I picked up The Decline of British Sea Power and Shootenanny! (by Eels), and they're two fantastic albums. The Thrills have a single out tomorrow, an album out on the thirtieth, and I can't wait. Morrissey and Belle and Sebastian are back in the studio.
It's a good time to have ears.
