It seems wrong to say this in a time of tragedy, but the funniest thing happened today.

I'm sitting in the car with my parents. We espy two drunken men across from us at the traffic lights. One of them walks into a road sign. He then kicks it. His companion (father) stands leaning over a railing, unable to move because he is laughing so much. The man kicks the road sign again.

That's my idea of humour.
